Gridiron 2025: 'Dangerously, Entertaining & Irreverent' Set to Delight Audiences |
San Antonio's cherished satirical revue, Gridiron, is making a triumphant return to the stage, celebrating its 40th anniversary with the theme "Dangerously, Entertaining & Irreverent."
Hosted by the San Antonio Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, this year's performances are scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Buena Vista Theater on the UTSA Downtown Campus. Showtimes are at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Since its inception, Gridiron has been a cornerstone of San Antonio's cultural landscape, offering a unique blend of musical comedy and local satire. The show is an all-original production, written, produced, and performed by San Antonio media professionals. It takes friendly digs at politics and local news events, akin to a San Antonio version of Saturday Night Live.
Proceeds from Gridiron support scholarships for aspiring journalists in the region. Over the years, the event has become a gathering spot for San Antonio’s most influential figures, as well as a diverse audience eager to enjoy a night of laughter and community spirit.
Tickets for Gridiron 2025 are now available. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a San Antonio tradition that continues to entertain and inspire.
